Remotely accessible newspapers

Remotely accessible newspapers can be read whenever, wherever! All you need is your library card and your pincode.

ePress magazines (remote)
A selection of over 20 Finnish magazines - read anytime and anywhere!

More than 6000 newspapers and magazines in e-versions from approximately 100 different countries and in 60 languages.

Suomen Turku
Travel back in time with Suomen Turku, a regional magazine covering Turku-related issues, volumes 1959-1979 are digitized. In Finnish and Swedish.

The newspapers below are only accessible in any Vaski library you visit, not remotely. You don't need a library card to use these services.

ePress newspapers
Turun Sanomat and dozens of other national newspapers in Finnish and Swedish in digital form. Only available in the library.

ePress magazines
Tabloids and over 60 popular Finnish magazines. Available only in the following libraries: Kaarina, Laitila, Lieto, Naantali, Paimio, Raisio, Salo, Turku, Uusikaupunki.

Need help?


E-books are easy to carry with and you can borrow an audio book even when travelling by bus. The library is now with you wherever you go.

As a customer of a Vaski-library you can easily read e-books and e-magazines, or listen to music. All you need is a library card and a PIN code. Most e-books you can read in the browser - you don't need any reader application or an Adobe ID account.

The loan period for e-books is max 2 weeks and the loans get returned automatically in the end of the loan period. You can not get any overdue charges.

Free e-resources online

You can find a lot of materials free of charge online. Here you can find links to books and other materials, mostly classic and older literature. Please note that the content of this box varies depending on which language you are using the web library in. These materials are not included in the Vaski libraries’ collection, so you do not need your library card to access them.
